In 1946 Yoors and Annebert moved into their first studio at 27 Holland Park Avenue W 11 in London. Here, Yoors began sculpting, and it was while living here that he first became fascinated by textiles and specifically the art of tapestry weaving after seeing a traveling show of French Masters of Medieval and Renaissance Tapestries at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. Yoors and Annebert began weaving their own tapestries here, and were joined by Marianne Citroen.
